Mrs. Deborah Horn
I began my teaching high school English, Speech and Drama in 1978 in the great state of Iowa. My career has taken me from Iowa to Tennessee to Texas. I began teaching at B.L. Gray J.H. in 2004. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I have been directing one act play and coaching UIL solo and duet acting. I have served on various committees for the district and spent several years as UIL Coordinator.
I have acted in numerous plays throughout my school years. I have also performed in community theatre productions. While in college I performed in Upper Iowa's traveling mime troupe, Silence, Inc. I had the honor of performing at the National Theatre Convention in 1977 as part of the University's children's theatre group. While in Iowa I held membership in the Iowa High School Speech Association where I served as a coach for high school students, a district and state critic judge and a host at the All State Festival. Currently, I am a member of the Texas Educational Theatre Association.
