Google Classroom Help

Parents,
Google Classroom is a phenomenal communication tool. Our teachers and administrators use it to post announcements, assignments, and resources.
Here are a few things to know about your part in Google Classroom.

Classroom email summaries for guardians

Note: You can only receive summaries for students with school accounts. Your child must use their school email account to access Classroom. Make sure your child does not use their personal email address.

As a guardian, you can receive email summaries showing your student’s progress in classroom. Make sure you add your email address on Skyward using your Family Access. Click here for more information on Skyward Family Access.

  • You can choose the frequency of the emails, such as daily or weekly.
  • You can unsubscribe or remove yourself from Classroom at any time.

Guardian email summaries include:

  • Missing work—Work that’s late at the time the email was sent
  • Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or work that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails)
  • Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers

Parents, please take time to view this student how-to video with your child. It'll show your child the basics of how to navigate in Google Classroom.

Your child will need to log in to classroom.google.com with their school credentials. Your child can learn more about his or her student email account HERE.
