NJHS Officers

Balbina Martinez Palacios, NJHS President
NJHS is crucial for BL Gray Junior High, for we help our environment and surroundings not because we have to, but because we truly want to. In today’s reality, it’s heartbreaking to see how people harm our environment. For example, deforestation and littering are deteriorating our planet, and it’s our job to take a step in the right direction and give it our all to make a difference. This is why two of my goals this year as an NJHS officer are to lead others on the right path, and to show that one themselves can make a remarkable difference. I hope to achieve my goals by making sure I enforce the 5 pillars so that others will copy and do the same, and by reminding everyone that their opinion matters by listening to what they have to say.

Gerardo Sagahon, NJHS Vice President
My name is Gerardo Sagahon, and I am vice-president of NJHS, or National Junior Honor Society. I believe NJHS is important to our school and community because here, we are all about giving back to the community and helping. Our school and community have done so much to help us, so we give back all the care and support that we received.
As Vice President and Officer of our National Junior Honor Society, I aspire and aim to do two main goals this year. My first goal for 2019-2020 is to help as many groups of people as possible. There are a lot of people out there that need help, and I would like to help as many lives and people as possible. I also want to make sure to get as many members as possible to contribute to our society and our services.
I believe that if we can raise awareness about upcoming projects and encourage our peers, we will be able to convince the majority if not all of them to help on out activities.
